CCC Women's Cross Country Athletes of the Week #2

Emily Wasina, University of New England (Gr.)

Graduate student Emily Wasina (Waterboro, Maine) finished second overall at the Jim Sheehan Memorial Invitational this weekend. She covered the five-kilometer course in 19:04. Here second place finish also helped the University of New England place second in the team competition.

Rookie of the Week

Julia Adrian, Endicott (Fr.)

Endicott freshman Julia Adrian (Noank, Conn.) registered a 13th place finish in a field of 80 runners at the Endicott Invitational this weekend. She ran a 21:33 over the five-kilometer course, helping the Gulls to a second place showing as a team.

The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), founded in 1984, is an NCAA Division III athletic conference comprised of nine full member and one associate member institutions throughout the New England region. Its membership aims to provide student-athletes with a positive experience in their pursuit of excellence through high academic standards, quality competition, and a meaningful student life. The conference administers championships in 18 intercollegiate sports. In 2020, the conference will expand to 10 full members with the addition of Suffolk University.
