Offensive Player of the Week

Jared Ward, Western New England (Sr., A)

Senior Jared Ward (Littleton, Mass.) paced the Western New England offense with 12 points this week, scoring seven goals and recording five assists. He opened the week with a pair of goals in a non-conference loss to crosstown rival Springfield before scoring a career-high 10 points against Nichols. He had five goals and five assists against the Bison with one tally coming in a man-up situation as the Golden Bears earned the 20-8 CCC victory.

Defensive Player of the Week

Patrick Dean, Endicott (Sr., G)

Senior Patrick Dean (Westhampton, N.Y.) earned a pair of wins in goal for Endicott this week. First, he secured the victory in a non-conference matchup with Babson. He made nine saves in the contest as the Gulls cruised to the 11-5 win. Dean followed that up with 10 saves in an 18-8 CCC victory over Wentworth. Overall, the Gulls goaltender posted a 4.92 goals-against average and a 67.9 save percentage.

Rookie of the Week

Mike Bannon, Western New England (Fr., A)

Freshman attack Mike Bannon (Edmond, Okla.) had a nine-point week for Western New England as the Golden Bears went 1-1. He scored two goals and registered three assists. Three of his helpers came in an 18-12 non-conference loss at the hands of Springfield. He followed up that performance with two goals and four assists in a 20-8 CCC win over Nichols. In addition to his offensive numbers, Bannon also scooped up three ground balls.

Derek Yannone, Endicott (Sr., FOM)

Endicott faceoff specialist Derek Yannone (Lynnfield, Mass.) won 81.1 percent (30-for-37) of his faceoff chances this week as the Gulls picked up wins against Babson and Wentworth. Yannone went 16-for-19 at the X against the Beavers, before winning 14 of 18 against the Leopards. He also collected 26 ground balls this week.

The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), founded in 1984, is an NCAA Division III athletic conference comprised of nine full member and one associate member institutions throughout the New England region. Its membership aims to provide student-athletes with a positive experience in their pursuit of excellence through high academic standards, quality competition, and a meaningful student life. The conference administers championships in 18 intercollegiate sports.
