SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Roger Williams’ Mariah Nicholas (Acushnet, Mass.) was the lone Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) women’s basketball player named to the D3hoops.com All-Northeast Team when the teams were announced last week.
Nicholas, the 2017-18 CCC Player of the Year, was selected to the All-Region Fourth Team.

Nicholas enjoyed her best season as a Hawk this past year. She was a key contributor for Roger Williams this season, being named CCC Player of the Year and helping the team set a new single season record for wins (23) and earn its second NCAA Tournament berth in program history.
She scored 16.8 points per game, ranking her second in the conference. She also ranked in the top 10 in field goal percentage (6th, 44.5 percent), blocks (2nd, 61), and rebounding (5th, 7.4 rpg). In addition, she was named CCC Player of the Week four times this season.
