SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Reigning Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) baseball champion, Salve Regina continued its ascent in the national polls this week. In the latest releases, the Seahawks ranked No. 17 in the Collegiate Baseball/American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Poll, while entering the D3baseball.com/National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Top 25 for the first time at No. 21.
Salve moved up from the No. 21 spot in the Collegiate Baseball/ABCA poll, earning 216 points, while garnering 119 points in the D3baseball.com/NCBWA poll for its No. 21 ranking.
The Seahawks currently sit in first place in the conference with a perfect 8-0 CCC record and a 21-4 record overall. They are riding an eight-game winning streak and return to action today (April 18) with a non-conference home game with in-state rival Johnson and Wales (R.I.).

The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), founded in 1984, is an NCAA Division III athletic conference comprised of ten full member and three associate member institutions throughout the New England region. Its membership aims to provide student-athletes with a positive experience in their pursuit of excellence through high academic standards, quality competition, and a meaningful student life. The conference currently administers championships in 16 intercollegiate sports with that number set to increase next year with the addition of football.
